  5. The Accounts Receivable module handles invoices, credit notes, cash receipts,
  6. journals, and settlement discounts in local and foreign currencies. This ledger
  7. can have a different base currency to the general ledger, and can be run up to
  8. a year in advance of it. Credit terms can be set on a customer-by-customer
  9. basis. Items can be marked as disputed using user-definable reason codes. The
  10. module allows direct debits to be withdrawn automatically from the customer's
  11. bank account and the amount updated to the accounts receivable and cash
  12. management modules. Full commercial paper (letters of credit) functionality is
  13. available.
